Mt. McKinley
* "The Mountain" was out.  Spectacular from every vantage point.  Words don't suffice (and neither do the pictures).

* Mount McKinley consists of two peaks; South Peak at an elevation of 20,320 ft. and North Peak at 19,470 ft. They are collectively known as Churchill Peaks. Mount McKinley is the highest elevation in Alaska, in the United States, and in North America (rises 17,000 ft. above the McKinley River valley).  Its rise above the valley floor is the highest in the world, even greater than that of Mt. Everest.
